Welcome from the Worshipful Master
Brethren,
I trust this message finds you well and in good spirits. It is with much gratitude and joy that I extend a warm welcome back to your Mother Lodge as we begin another season of fellowship, labour, and Light.
This past June, our Lodge had the great privilege of hosting the Homecoming of our District Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Steven W. Badger. It was truly an honour for us to open our doors to welcome him, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you who participated in making that evening such a memorable and dignified occasion. The support and unity shown by our Brethren on that evening was inspiring, and it reflected the best of what we hold dear as Masons—brotherly love, harmony, and service.
In July, I had the pleasure of attending Grand Lodge Communication. Those few days were both enlightening and invigorating. I attended several educational seminars, which provided new insights into how we can continue to strengthen our Lodge and enrich the experiences of our members. It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends, renew acquaintances, and establish new friendships with Brethren from across the jurisdiction. Experiences such as these remind me of the vastness of our Craft, and the bonds of fraternity that extend well beyond our own Lodge walls.
I hope that over the summer months, you and your families were able to enjoy a season of rest and relaxation. Time spent with loved ones and moments of quiet reflection are so important, and I trust that each of you had the opportunity to recharge and return to Lodge life renewed and uplifted.
As we look ahead, I am excited about the opportunities that await us within the realigned Districts. Visiting our sister Lodges, strengthening our connections, and working together in harmony will no doubt bring fresh energy to our collective labours. Let us embrace this new chapter with optimism, as we continue to build upon the strong foundations laid by those who came before us.
I would also like to extend a very special invitation to some of our older Brethren, who may have refrained from attending Lodge for reasons of health or personal comfort. Please know that you are always welcome among us. If there is concern about the need to excuse oneself during the ceremony, be assured that our Inner Guard and Tyler are both aware and prepared to discreetly allow a Brother to retire and return without notice or interruption. Your presence is valued beyond measure, and we would be honoured to share your company once again within the Lodge room.
Brethren, I look forward with great anticipation to the year ahead. May our work together be marked by harmony, good cheer, and a steadfast commitment to our Craft. Thank you, once again, for the trust you have placed in me to serve as your Worshipful Master. It is both a privilege and a joy to walk this path with each of you.
Fraternally and sincerely,
W. Bro. John Raso
